No More Tears
Doing my daughter’s hair used to be a dreaded task. She’s very tender-headed, and every wash day ended in tears—for both of us. It was stressful, emotionally draining, and made me feel helpless as a mom. All of that changed when we started coming to see Therace. From our very first appointment, I could tell she knew exactly how to handle my daughter’s hair with care, patience, and professionalism. Now, instead of tears, there’s excitement. My daughter actually looks forward to hair day, which still amazes me.

Each time we leave the salon, she walks out with a beautiful hairstyle, her head held high, and a big smile on her face. The transformation has been more than just physical—it’s boosted her confidence and taken a huge weight off my shoulders.

I also get my hair done by Therace, and I can confidently say she is a true expert in Black hair care. She understands the textures, the treatments, and the styles that work. Beyond her skill, what really sets her apart is her warmth and thoughtfulness. As a hijabi, having privacy while getting my hair done is extremely important to me, and Therace has always gone out of her way to make sure I feel comfortable and respected. She creates a space that is not only welcoming but also deeply affirming.

I have nothing but admiration for her talent, professionalism, and the genuine care she puts into her work. Finding a stylist like her has been a blessing for both me and my daughter. I recommend her to every Black woman and parent I know—you won’t be disappointed.
