I get to the Lyons DMV all the way from Rochester Ny which is approximately 1 hour because all the Hazmat appointments was booked out until October in the Roc...They refused to let me take the test..They said according to new federal rules I have to go & take courses which cost approximately $2000 before I can take the Hazmat test...I've been a truck driver for 16 years what are you talking about.. This is not my first time taking the Hazmat test neither...she said this is some new stuff they just started 2 years ago.. well maybe yall should make this apart of booking process... how am I'm supposed to know they are changing things up if I haven't did Hazmat In about 6 years now...paid a friend $100 to take me because my car in the shop just a wast of time & money...im not bout to take no damn classes on something I already know about I transported deisel,gasoline,DEF,oil, & anything else you can name all across state lines wtf are they talking about.. I am so discouraged I will not be paying for no extra bs NYS always ripping people off.. maybe it's international idk it's just stupid either way the trucking market is in a recession so they know we will switch to Hazmat transporting for the highest salary so the put road blocks in the way
