In order to better understand you, your child, your relationship, and how best to support you our first coaching session is 60 minutes. Most of that time will be spent getting to know you and understand your current situation, strengths, and struggles. We will explore what you hope to achieve through coaching and come up with a plan to make it happen.

(Google Meet) In depth coaching session for parents. Learn how to work with your child to better support them and improve your family dynamic. Set goals, create routines, and communicate more effectively.
Explore one specific challenge you are experiencing with your child to find solutions that work for you and your family. Create an action plan to implement change, discussing potential obstacles and workarounds so you can feel confident that you can progress toward your goal.

With this option we will split the hour, with 30-45 minutes of parent coaching and 15-30 minutes of coaching for your child. This is a great option for kids in the 8-12 range. Research shows that parent coaching is the more effective for kids than individual coaching, but it is still important to get their perspective and buy in.

This coaching session is designed for teens that need help managing their ADHD and/or Executive Functioning challenges. If your teen is struggling in school or at home, with missing assignments, trouble planning and prioritizing, getting started on tasks, motivation, organization, time management, or all of the above, I can help. I will guide them through some self exploration to determine what is holding them back, then work with them so they can build the life skills they need to overcome these obstacles. Together, we will work on goal setting, creating routines, building self-confidence, and communicating more effectively.
This is a Google Meet visit. I generally find Google Meet visits to be highly effective for most teens, however, I recommend an in person meeting for the first session to establish a better relationship and because I can more quickly understand the big picture of what is going on with your teen. I do not charge extra for the first in person session, because it is so helpful and I do not want price to be a determining factor. In person is not required though, if your teen would prefer online or your schedule requires it that is fine, it's just something to keep in mind.

This coaching session is a quick check-in to help keep your teen on-task, motivated, and moving forward. It is so easy to fall back on old habits and not do the things you said you were going to do either because you forgot about it, got distracted, or just plain lost all motivation. This is true for all of us, but ADHD, Executive Functioning deficits, and the teen brain make it especially challenging. Out of site out of mind is a common occurrence. These check-ins are designed to help keep your child's goals and what they need to do to achieve them in the front of their mind. Our goal is to teach them to use their own visual cues and reminders to accomplish this task, but it takes time, commitment, repetition, and practice to build this skill and make it a habit. Setting regular check-ins will provide the support they need to be successful now while we build the skills they need to foster independence.
At least one 45 minute coaching session per week is required to book this follow-up coaching session, unless you get prior approval. You can then schedule as many follow-up sessions as you'd like.
