Yin Active Stretch Yoga combines elements of Yin Yoga with dynamic stretching. This practice blends the deep, passive stretches of Yin Yoga—where poses are held for longer periods to target deep connective tissues—with active stretches that involve muscle engagement and movement.
In this style, you might hold some poses for several minutes to work on flexibility and joint health, while also incorporating active stretches that engage muscles and improve range of motion. The aim is to balance the meditative, restorative aspects of Yin Yoga with the more dynamic, active components of stretching, providing both deep relaxation and enhanced muscular flexibility.
