Juliet Gervasi currently teaches guitar and ukulele at Moore Music and through her private studio in Greensboro, NC. She is the former graduate teaching assistant to the guitar program at the UNC School of the Arts. After graduating from Weaver Academy for the Performing and Visual Arts’ guitar program, she obtained her bachelor’s degree in music, minoring in education studies, from Guilford College. She has been studying guitar for over 20 years, as well as performing in various contexts as both a solo and ensemble performer. Most recently, she placed second in the Eastern Music Festival’s first ever guitar competition. Juliet has taught ages ranging from four to eighty-four, and welcomes students of all ages, backgrounds, and levels of experience. She provides instruction in many genres such as music for classical, acoustic, and electric guitars. She sees each lesson as an opportunity for self care and fulfillment for her students, and strives to provide an engaging, intellectually rigorous, and nurturing atmosphere.
