Mobile Massage services are provided by some therapists for clients who are either unable to attend a Massage Clinic or find it more convenient to have a treatment at their own home. Elderly or convalescing people could find this to be a very useful option, as would the parents of young children who do not have child care. Services are also offered at some hotels for business people and visitors and this can be arranged through the hotel’s concierge.

When muscles and tendons become damaged or impaired, knotted and tense or immobile, Remedial Massage provides a healing treatment that can be gentle or strong, deep or shallow. Remedial massage holistically treats the whole body and traces the discomfort as far as possible back to the original cause, healing both the cause of the disorder as well as the symptoms.

Remedial Massage Technique
It uses several specialised techniques to locate and repair damage and to support and speed up the body's own repair mechanisms. The massage is applied directly to the skin using a lubricating medium, usually oil, which ensures that the muscles associated with the disorder and mobilisation of the joint are deeply penetrated. Passive stretching moves are also used.

Benefits of Remedial Massage
Key benefits of Remedial Massage include: the stimulation to the blood supply allowing toxins in the muscles to be removed; the calming of the peripheral nervous system to ease pain and discomfort; and the toning and relaxing of muscles to improve joint mobility. An improvement to the health of the cells, the repairing of tissues, and the easing of stiffness and tension can also be experienced through therapeutic relaxation.

Muscular and skeletal dysfunctions often addressed with Remedial Massage include Fibrositis, Spondylitis, Arthritis, frozen shoulder, muscular cramps, Whiplash, muscular atrophy, sports and dancing injuries.

Sessions usually take 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the whether the practitioner will just address a specific area or give a whole body massage. As oil is used, it is necessary for the patient to be unclothed for the treatment

Lymphatic Drainage

The Lymphatic system is our front line of defence in fighting bodily infections, detoxifying the body and transporting metabolic wastes, excess water, bacteria and toxins out of the body.
The Lymph glands (at neck, armpits, groin, etc.) are connected by a broad network of vessels which transplant the fluid. Muscular movement is required to move it, as there is no "Heart" to pump it.
Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle whole body treatment that relaxes the nervous system and aids the body's immune system. It is highly recommended for those prone to and recovering from sore throats, colds, infections, on-going tiredness, excess fluids, low immunity, swollen node and also for the physically inactive.

A lymphatic drainage massage is unlike other massage styles as it involves gentle pressure rather than firm pressure. Also, it doesn't stimulate the muscle tissues but the surface of the skin, focusing on the lymph nodes in the neck, armpits and legs. The treatment session is held in a heated room in order to dilate the lymphatic vessels and allow the lymph fluid to flow through the system with ease.
The session can last 60 minutes to an hour and a half. Before showing up to your appointment, eat a light meal and drink plenty of water. It would be best to arrive early at the clinic so that you have time to empty your bladder and relax before your treatment session begins.
Lymphatic drainage can leave you thirsty and sleepy as your body's organ systems adjust to their cleaner environment after the toxins have been flushed out.
