Alameda Doula and Bodywork

Two hour in studio session to balance soft tissue in the pelvis and surrounding areas. Allows baby to get into optimal position for birth. Part of this session is to teach exercises that the pregnant person will continue throughout pregnancy. Some exercises require support, so perferably a partner or a person who will be available at least two days a week should be present for part of the session to learn how to support the pregnant person. Dynamic Body Balancing uses dynamic motion to remove torsion by unwinding the dura and fascia. It restores balance and releases compensatory patterns that the body has adopted due to stress, injury and trauma. DBB is done clothed.

Mix of Swedish massage and Dynamic Body Balancing for release of pain and tension, and relaxation. Add an additional hour to scheduled or in progress labor massage. Therapist will take 15 minute break between first session and additonal hour unless otherwise arranged.

Labor Massage Additional Hour

Massage and support during labor provided by massage therapist, Spinning Babies Aware Practitioner and seasoned doula. Allows labor support to rest. Performed at your house or in your hospital room. Depending on situation massage time will average 70-100 minutes. 

Available at Alta Bates, Kaiser Oakland, Kaiser San Leandro, Highland Hospital, and homes in the surrounding areas.
