More than Just Kegels

Come Join Christina, the pelvic floor specialist, combining yogic and pelvic floor physical therapy practice into one class.

Studies have shown addressing the pelvic floor in such a manner is not only more effective than Kegels alone but has long-term effects on properly engaging your pelvic floor. But what does that mean or look like to you?

The class begins with yoga practice to prepare, energize and connect breathing techniques with pelvic floor muscles. From there we progress into strengthening, stabilizing, lengthening, and addressing dysfunctions through physical therapy practices. And finally, we finish our class with regeneration, restoring through yoga practice. The ideal blend of yoga and pelvic floor group class is this 90-minute session.

It is ideal for anyone who has a stressful holiday season (HA!), pelvic floor issues, postpartum, pregnancy, perimenopause, menopause, GI issues, low back pain, hip pain, and any other orthopedic issues.

Christina and team were extremely knowledgeable and provided immediate pain relief to my symptoms. They were able to uncover root causes to my pain that others overlooked. I would highly recommend them for those struggling with injury.

I came to Christina for an evaluation for my pelvic floor. While I was there, she connected some of my other symptoms like low back pain and chronic UTIs to pelvic floor dysfunction. I never even thought they were related. I found the sessions to be very helpful and therapeutic. She gave me home exercises, as well, to continue my progress. Overall, I would highly recommend her and plan on returning in the future.

Updated to add: I've now attended several Pelvic Floor exercise classes. What a difference this 1 hour per week is making not only for pelvic floor but overall strength and posture. Christina takes an active role during class, adjusting your body and carefully observing alignment as you go. Every class is different and tailored to the group that day. Bravo!

My first experience with PT; I didn't have an urgent issue, but enough discomfort that I wondered if PT would help. Christina worked wonders in just one hour on my hips and back. She's truly excellent at her craft. Everything you hope for from a medical professional - warm and welcoming, thorough, knowledgeable, willing and able to answer questions and most of all genuinely excited by what she does. I had a great 60 min visit and highly recommend her. And yes, it is out of pocket...but to feel better and also know the cause of the underlying issue and how to address it...worth it. I am still surprised by how much of a difference one hour made.

I have been undergoing their treatment for the past 4 weeks for pelvic floor issues, and I have noticed significant improvements in my body. My pain has reduced considerably. Both Yael and Christina have been treating me with great care and expertise, and they are truly skilled and dedicated to their work. I hope to be completely okay after completing their treatment.
