Butte Environmental Council is excited to be participating in the Classroom Aquarium Education Project (CAEP). We will be hosting Steelhead trout and are inviting you and your children to view the salmon eggs throughout their cycle. Children will be able to the view the trout from our office tank and then learning from our Climate Action Corps Fellows about the fish and their importance for our ecosystem. Catered to homeschooling families, this opportunity saw great success last Fall with the raising and release of 34 Chinook salmon into the Feather River and about 10 families signed up.
